How Samsung builds its residential washers
Samsung's front-load machines are built around a large drum with a suspension and balancing system designed to keep high spin speeds stable. Its high-efficiency top-loaders use an impeller plate rather than a tall agitator, which changes how a load moves and how sensitive the machine is to loading.
Several Samsung models add a small door within the main door so laundry can be added mid-cycle, and some include an integrated sink-style panel. Both are convenient, and both add a seal that can eventually be part of a leak complaint.
